Absolutely. At the very least, we hope that the course will give Christians a deeper grounding in their faith, but we also hope that for those with the character, gifting and opportunity, the course might enable them to think about the context where they might be able to share God's Word with others.

The short answer is no. If you are really uncomfortable doing a talk in front of your teaching practise group you can do a bible study instead. However, we would love for you to attempt writing a talk. The groups are really safe environments for you to have a go, there is much to learn in stretching yourself in new ways, and who knows you may even enjoy it, and be good at it. We'd love everyone to have a go, but there is no pressure if you'd prefer not to. 

We strongly encourage those doing the course to make attendance a high priority. For many this course will be part of their working week, but we will expect a serious commitment from everyone who will be taking the course. It is helpful for the teachers because it means they can assume a reasonable amount of class continuity between the weeks. It is helpful for your course mates too as it means that everyone can benefit from others' input and fellowship. Of course there will be some exceptional circumstances which mean that people are unable to come, but the expectation is that attendance is a high priority. 

There is plenty of on-site car parking space just in front of the church building

No. Throughout the course there will be a number of books that will be recommended, but there aren't any which you will need in order to complete the course.

The cost is £690 for the year. This can be paid termly, and if you need to space the payments out further please do get in touch. 

We really want to make The Equip Course accessible to as many as possible, so if working out a payment schedule would enable someone to do the course, we would happily try to arrange that. We can also point you in the direction of trust funds which have been set up in order to facilitate ministry training opportunities like this.

All areas of the building that we meet in are accessible by wheelchair.

We appreciate that the course won't be for everyone. Often there will be preparation to do outside of the time that we spend together at Freemantle. The amount will vary, but many have found that they can fit the preparation into a few evenings or another part of the day that is available for them.
